Together We Build a Brighter Future

Connecting People through Language and Culture

Who We Are

Founded in 2005, the African Community Health Institute (ACHI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of underserved African immigrants and refugees. We provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services that address health disparities, deliver comprehensive, life-changing programs that tackle the most pressing challenges facing our communities, and empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives.

ACHI’s mission goes beyond promoting community healthcare—it’s about building stronger, more resilient communities. Through community engagement, public health initiatives, and vocational training, we equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to thrive. By fostering trust, supporting self-development, and advocating for equity, ACHI helps immigrant and refugee families take charge of their health and future.
